The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas have successfully arrived in San Francisco, where they will be training in preparation for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup scheduled for the end of the month.
Following their training camp, the Fiji U20 Women’s National Team will travel to Costa Rica to play friendly matches against Morocco and Costa Rica before heading to Colombia for the tournament.
The team was welcomed at a banquet organized by the America Fiji Sports Commission in Oakland.
Coached by Angeline Chua, the team will compete in Pool B at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, facing tough opponents including France, Canada, and Brazil.
This tournament marks a significant milestone for Fiji, showcasing the advancement of women’s football in the country. It is expected to inspire future generations of athletes and unite the nation in support of its team on the world stage.
