As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights from each match, according to midfielder Talei Moodie.
“It’s another level to this soccer world,” Moodie said when reflecting on the team’s performance. “This is our first appearance here, so it was expected that we would be challenged in new ways. It’s a really good learning experience, and I believe it will motivate us moving forward.”
In a recent match that ended in a 9-0 defeat to Canada, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team’s resilience and courageous effort, particularly in the second half.
“We regroup; we want to improve always from the last game,” Chua mentioned. “We play football to score goals, so that will still remain our objective.”
Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final match of the tournament this Saturday.
