As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining invaluable experience from each match, according to midfielder Talei Moodie.
“It’s another level to this soccer world,” Moodie shared about the team’s performance. “This is our first appearance here, so it was expected that we would be challenged in new ways. It’s a really good learning experience, and I believe it will motivate us moving forward.”
Following a difficult game that ended in a 9-0 defeat against Canada, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team’s resilience and bravery, particularly in the second half.
“We regroup, we want to improve always from the last game,” Chua said. “We play football to score goals, so that will still remain our objective.”
Looking to the future, the Young Kulas are preparing to face France in their final match of the tournament on Saturday.
