The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas have concluded a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra as they gear up for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia this August. The week-long camp involved 19 players, aimed at enhancing their skills and fostering team cohesion. Under the guidance of coach Angeline Chua, the Young Kulas participated in rigorous training and faced two competitive matches. They encountered significant challenges against the Future Matildas, suffering a 10-0 defeat, and played against Canberra Olympic, where they narrowly lost 2-0. Although the outcomes were not in their favor, these matches were crucial for evaluating the team’s preparedness and offered valuable experience against high-caliber opponents. The Young Kulas have returned to Fiji to continue their training and will soon depart for the U.S. and Costa Rica for further camps and matches.
