As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights from their experiences in the tournament, as shared by midfielder Talei Moodie.
“It’s another level to this soccer world,” Moodie noted regarding the team’s overall performance.
“This is our first appearance here, so we anticipated facing new challenges. It’s a valuable learning experience, and I believe it will inspire us as we move forward.”
Despite facing a difficult match that ended in a 9-0 defeat against Canada, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team’s determination and bravery, particularly in the second half.
“We regroup, and our goal is always to improve from the last game,” Chua remarked.
“We play football to score goals, so that remains our focus.”
Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final match of the tournament on Saturday.
