Fiji’s Young Kulas Aim for Historic World Cup Goals Against Brazil

The Fiji Young Kulas are set to compete against Brazil tomorrow in the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, with clear objectives in mind.

Assistant Coach Annette Nainima expressed their desire to perform well and achieve their first-ever World Cup goal. She emphasized the significance of this moment for her, the players, and staff, describing it as a proud achievement.

“This is our first World Cup, and it allows us to share our stories with our families, children, and loved ones. It’s something monumental, as many never believed the Fiji women’s team would reach the World Cup. Here we are,” she shared with OFC Media.

Nainima added that their families back home are eagerly watching and supporting them as the games are broadcast live.

The Young Kulas will face Brazil in their opening match at 11 AM on Sunday, September 1, followed by matches against Canada at 1 PM on Wednesday, September 4, and France at 10 AM on Saturday, September 7, all in Fiji time.
