The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys are set to take on the host nation, Tahiti, in the second semifinal of the OFC U-16 Men’s Championship on Thursday. Under the guidance of coach Sunil Kumar, Fiji secured a second-place finish in Group A, achieving two victories and one defeat. The team recorded wins against the Cook Islands (2-1) and Vanuatu (3-2), but faced a setback with a 7-1 loss to New Zealand, the tournament favorites.

In the first semifinal, New Zealand will compete against New Caledonia at 1pm, followed by the Fiji versus Tahiti match at 4pm Fiji Time. The semifinals carry significant implications, as the winners along with the victor of the third/fourth place playoff will earn a spot in the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in Qatar next year.
