Fiji’s Year 8 Students Gear Up for Crucial Examination Day

Today, 19,359 Year 8 students are set to take the Fiji Year Eight Examination across 717 centers. Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, Alitia Bainivalu, has emphasized that this exam reflects not only the students’ knowledge and skills but also their dedication and hard work.

Bainivalu noted that preparing for the exam can elicit a range of emotions, including excitement and nervousness, and she encourages students to have confidence in their studies, reminding them that this exam is merely a stepping stone in their educational journey.

Assistant Minister for Education, Iliesa Vanawalu, also reassured students to trust their capabilities and to approach the exam with a calm and confident mindset. He highlighted the importance of resilience and determination, urging Year 8 students to remain focused on their tasks.

Both ministers have appealed to parents, guardians, and teachers to offer the necessary support to help students concentrate during this important time.
