Fiji’s Year 8 Students Gear Up for Crucial Exam Day!

Today, 19,359 Year 8 students will take the Fiji Year Eighth Examination at 717 centers across the country.

Alitia Bainivalu, Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, emphasized that the examination reflects not only the students’ knowledge and skills but also their hard work and dedication. She acknowledged the range of emotions students may feel, including excitement and anticipation, as they prepare for the exam. Bainivalu encouraged students to have confidence in their studies, reminding them that this examination is merely one milestone in their educational journey.

Iliesa Vanawalu, Assistant Minister for Education, also urged students to believe in their abilities and to approach the exam with a calm and assured mindset. He highlighted the importance of resilience and determination, motivating Year 8 students to stay focused throughout the test.

Both ministers called on parents, guardians, and teachers to offer vital support, enabling students to concentrate fully during this important time.
