A total of 19,359 Year 8 students are scheduled to take the Fiji Year Eight Examination today across 717 centers. Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, Alitia Bainivalu, emphasized that this exam is not just a measure of knowledge and skills but also a reflection of the students’ hard work and dedication.
Bainivalu acknowledged the range of emotions that may arise during exam preparations, including excitement and anticipation. She encouraged students to have confidence in their studies, reminding them that this examination is merely one milestone in their educational journey.
Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu also urged students to have faith in their abilities, advising them to remain calm and confident throughout the exam. He highlighted the importance of resilience and determination, encouraging Year 8 students to keep their focus.
Both ministers appealed to parents, guardians, and teachers to offer vital support, ensuring that students can concentrate during this pivotal time.
