The Ministry of Education has announced a notable increase in the pass rate for the Fiji Eighth Year Examination in 2024, reaching 69% compared to 67% in 2023. Education Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that the provisional results will be released tomorrow, November 22, 2024.
Students will be able to review their results, which will be provisional for a period of 30 days. During this time, they can request a mark recount for a fee of $5 per subject or a remark at a cost of $25 per subject. This process allows students to ensure their grades accurately reflect their performance.
This year, a total of 18,968 students sat for the examination across 712 centres. Students can access their results on the official exam results website using their unique examination identification numbers and personal credentials.
This incremental improvement in the pass rate reflects the ongoing efforts in the education sector to enhance student performance and outcomes. As students eagerly await their results, the increase in pass rate symbolizes progress and can foster motivation among pupils to continue striving for academic excellence.
