Fiji’s national men’s football head coach, Rob Sherman, has unveiled the roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers, taking place in Papua New Guinea. The squad consists of 23 players, featuring notable inclusions such as Christopher Wasasala and veteran Simione Tamanisau from Labasa.
Unfortunately, the team will be without Samu Kautoga from Rewa, who is sidelined due to an ankle injury. Epeli Leiroti has also been omitted because of a recent injury, along with Rewa’s goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia.
The Bula Boys are set to depart for Papua New Guinea to compete against Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia. Returning to the lineup are several players, including Mohammad Raheem, Scott Wara, Mosese Nabose, and Antonio Tuivuna, who missed the initial matches held in Suva.
On the other hand, players Joela Biuvanua, Josh Qereqeretabua of Charlton Athletic, Kavaia Rawaqa, Aprosa Yada, and Etonio Dogalau from Ba have been left out for this round.
