Fiji’s World Cup Qualifiers Boosted by Rawaqa’s Return

Suva defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. After a period away from the national team, Rawaqa is stepping in for Mosese Nabose, who has withdrawn due to personal reasons.

Additionally, Suva forward Merrill Nand and Ba striker Etonia Dogalau, both of whom were absent from the previous selections, have also been included in the team.

Under the guidance of coach Rob Sherman, Fiji will kick off their campaign against the Solomon Islands at 7 PM on Thursday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The Fiji squad includes: Isikeli Sevanaia, Akuila Mateisuva, Jerome Narayan, Ivan Kumar, Samuela Kautoga, Gabriel Matanisiga, Filipe Baravilala, Kavaia Rawaqa, Epeli Leiroti, Sterling Vasconcellos, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Setareki Hughes, Leroy Jennings, Aporosa Yada, Tevita Waranaivalu, Merrill Nand, Dave Radrigai, Rahul Krishna, Sairusi Nalaubu, Roy Krishna, Thomas Dunn, Nabil Begg, and Etonia Dogalau.
