Experienced Suva defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. This marks Rawaqa’s return to the national team after a significant absence, stepping in for Mosese Nabose, who withdrew due to personal reasons.
In addition to Rawaqa, Suva striker Merrill Nand and Ba forward Etonia Dogalau have also been included in the team after missing previous selections.
The Fiji team, coached by Rob Sherman, will kick off their campaign against the Solomon Islands on Thursday at 7 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
