Suva defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Rawaqa, who has not played for the national team recently, is stepping in for Mosese Nabose, who has withdrawn due to personal reasons. Additionally, Suva striker Merrill Nand and Ba forward Etonia Dogalau, both of whom were absent from prior selections, have also been added to the roster. The Fiji team, coached by Rob Sherman, will begin their qualifying campaign against the Solomon Islands at 7pm on Thursday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The full squad includes Isikeli Sevanaia, Akuila Mateisuva, Jerome Narayan, Ivan Kumar, Samuela Kautoga, Gabriel Matanisiga, Filipe Baravilala, Kavaia Rawaqa, Epeli Leiroti, Sterling Vasconcellos, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Setareki Hughes, Leroy Jennings, Aporosa Yada, Tevita Waranaivalu, Merrill Nand, Dave Radrigai, Rahul Krishna, Sairusi Nalaubu, Roy Krishna, Thomas Dunn, Nabil Begg, and Etonia Dogalau.
