Fiji Football Association CEO Mohammad Yusuf expressed optimism regarding the performance of the country’s first-ever women’s futsal team at the upcoming OFC Women’s Futsal Nations Cup in the Solomon Islands. He highlighted that the team consists of national-level players who are thoroughly prepared for the competition.

Yusuf remarked, “The coach has selected all national-level players for the women’s futsal team; they bring valuable experience, so I don’t anticipate them feeling under pressure.” He added, “We have high hopes for these girls to reach the final and ultimately win, securing a spot in the Futsal World Cup next year.”

Additionally, Yusuf extended his gratitude to Fiji’s national sports commission chair Peter Mazey and Minister for Sports Jese Saukuru for their support in aiding the team.
