The Digicel Fiji Women’s Futsal team has left for the inaugural OFC Women’s Futsal Nations Cup in the Solomon Islands. The tournament will run from August 17 to August 25, featuring five teams vying for the opportunity to represent Oceania at the first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in the Philippines next year. Fiji’s first match will be against Tahiti on August 17, followed by a game against Tonga on August 18. They will also compete against New Zealand on August 20 and face the host team, the Solomon Islands, on August 23.
