In an update shared this evening, they informed the public that eight evacuation centers are currently operational, accommodating 79 households and a total of 350 evacuees in the region.
Today, efforts were made to deliver essential rations to those affected, ensuring those in the evacuation centers receive much-needed supplies. Additionally, teams from the Ministry of Health are visiting all evacuation centers to provide necessary medical support.
Support for evacuees has come from various organizations, including:
– Freezco and the Red Cross, which donated 100 bottles of water and four hygiene kits to the four evacuation centers in Nadi.
– The Hare Rama Hare Krishna team, actively distributing food at the Korovuto evacuation center.
