The Vodafone Fijiana XV team is gearing up for their clash against the Wallaroos at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.
Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the need for his team to be at their best against the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.
“The players have been training diligently and have shown significant improvement since the Japan game. However, we will see the real test when we face the Wallaroos on Saturday,” he stated.
“Despite the Wallaroos losing all their test matches so far, they remain a formidable opponent.”
Rauluni acknowledged that it will be a challenging match against the Wallaroos on their home ground.
“We are playing away in different conditions, and it’s going to be much colder compared to our last visit to Australia,” he noted.
“We must not underestimate the Wallaroos; we need to perform at our best.”
Rauluni expressed hope in leveraging their backline with swift ball delivery.
“We need to have a strong defense against the various shapes and formations that the Wallaroos employ in their attack,” he mentioned.
He is optimistic about receiving significant support from the Fijian community in Sydney during the match against the Wallaroos.
“It was beneficial to conduct our contact sessions in Fiji before heading to Sydney,” he said.
“Our focus will be on executing the basics correctly and preparing thoroughly for Saturday.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 PM.
