The Digicel Junior Kula Fiji women’s Under-16 team achieved their first victory in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) women’s championship, maintaining their hopes for qualifying for the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Colombia. They secured a 2-0 win against the Cook Islands at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva yesterday.

Sisilia Kuladina opened the scoring for Fiji in the 14th minute, giving her team a 1-0 lead. Grace Lakavatu added a second goal just five minutes later in the 19th minute, increasing the advantage to 2-0. Kuladina was named the player of the match for her exceptional performance throughout the game.
