The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys are set to compete against New Zealand in the OFC under-16 Championship final today, following their earlier qualification for the FIFA under-17 World Cup in Qatar next year. After securing a 2-1 victory over Tahiti, head coach Sunil Kumar expressed his confidence in the team’s progress.
Kumar acknowledged that the boys faced challenges in the pool games but believes they have the potential to excel. “We didn’t receive a lot of positive feedback for the pool match because the performance was lacking, but we knew the boys could perform better, and I’m incredibly proud of their efforts,” he stated.
The Baby Bula Boys are determined to conclude their OFC men’s under-16 championship on a high note. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 PM today in Tahiti.
