The Fiji under-15 girls hockey team has achieved a significant victory by winning their opening match against Australia Wanderers with a score of 1-0 at the National Hockey Turf in Suva. This win marks a promising start for the team in the tournament.

The girls’ Wanderers Goannas faced Fiji but lost with a score of 1-0. The boys’ Emus secured a victory over Fiji with a score of 2-0, while the girls’ Emus played against Fiji and lost 2-1. The matches experienced a disruption when heavy rain made the playing surface unplayable, causing one game to be stopped with four minutes remaining.

Despite the weather challenges, the tournament is set to continue tomorrow, offering more opportunities for the teams to showcase their skills.
