Fiji’s U-16 Team Gears Up for Pool-Deciding Clash Against Samoa!

The head coach of Fiji’s U-16 Junior Kulas, Marika Rodu, has expressed that the team’s goal is to emerge at the top of their pool as they prepare for a crucial match against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. With one draw and one win, Fiji has accumulated 4 points, placing them behind Samoa, which has secured 6 points from two wins.

Rodu emphasized the determination of her players, stating, “The girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive to top the pool. Moving forward, it’s a matter of scoring and winning the game against Samoa.” This comment came after their recent match against the Cook Islands.

Reflecting on their previous game against Tonga, Rodu noted, “We learned lessons and made a few changes. I think we performed slightly better, and we just want to grow game by game.”

Fiji is set to face Samoa on Saturday at 3 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
