Fiji’s U-16 Junior Kulas head coach Marika Rodu has expressed the team’s goal of finishing at the top of their pool with one crucial match remaining against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. Currently, Fiji has secured one win and one draw, totaling four points, while Samoa leads with six points from two victories.
“Girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive to top the pool. Moving forward, it’s a matter of scoring and winning the game against Samoa,” Rodu stated following yesterday’s match against the Cook Islands.
Rodu noted the lessons learned from the previous match against Tonga and mentioned that adjustments were made, leading to a slightly improved performance. “We’ll just like to grow game by game,” he added.
The pivotal match between Fiji and Samoa is scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
