Dr. Movono offers a wealth of experience in education leadership, public sector reform, and strategic policy development, particularly within the realm of tertiary education systems. His impressive academic qualifications include a PhD in Tourism Management from Griffith University, Australia, alongside a Master of Arts in Tourism Studies, a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs and Tourism Studies, during which he earned multiple accolades.
His career spans senior academic and leadership positions in both New Zealand and Australia, where he served as an Associate Professor at the University of the South Pacific. Additionally, Dr. Movono has been involved in key national and regional committees focusing on scholarship governance and the management of substantial funding initiatives.
