Eroni Bole, a well-known figure in Fiji’s tourism sector, has received significant recognition at the 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards. Celebrated for embodying the spirit of Fiji with his vibrant Fijian “buiniga” and his infectious smile, Mr. Bole was honored as the 2025 Cultural Tourism Champion.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Bole stated that it was a profound honor to be acknowledged for the work he dedicates himself to each day. He emphasized the importance of the tourism industry, highlighting that it sustains the livelihoods of many individuals. “We understand that tourism is the biggest industry that supports every being that we have and I never take that for granted,” he shared.

Mr. Bole attributed the allure of Fiji to its rich culture and heritage, remarking that these elements not only draw people to the islands but also create a connection that brings global visitors to experience Fijian hospitality. “Our culture is what brings Fijians to the world, and it is what brings the world to Fiji,” he added, proudly accepting his role as a champion for Fijian culture.

In his heartfelt acknowledgment, Mr. Bole extended thanks to those who have supported his journey in tourism. He expressed gratitude to God for the blessings and talents inherent in Fijian hospitality. He also recognized the Rosie family, particularly Tony Whitton, Brigid, General Manager Eroni Puamau, and Director of Operations Sunil Kumar, as well as the teams involved in group events. Mr. Bole highlighted that his recognition reflects the collective efforts of all tourism frontliners in Fiji, from airline staff to hotel personnel.

As he stood proudly on behalf of every representative in the industry, he reiterated the importance of embracing the blessings and opportunities within Fiji’s tourism sector.
