Fiji’s Tourism Soars to New Heights: Record $351 Million in July!

The tourism sector achieved a remarkable feat in July, generating a record $351 million—a historic high for any month. The nation welcomed 98,332 visitors during July, which significantly contributed to the impressive earnings. In comparison, tourism revenue was $330 million in June.

Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, “July was our highest month for visitor arrivals in Fiji ever. Success is not assumed; it comes with a lot of hard work.” He highlighted that various strategic initiatives are yielding positive results, including increased visitor dispersion across Fiji, growth in non-core markets, and a heightened interest in adventure and wellness tourism, along with a rise in event participation.

This year, Fiji has recorded a total of 545,487 tourist arrivals, with emerging consumer trends indicating a rise in interest for solo travel, high-income individuals prioritizing travel, and the expansion of wellness tourism. Additionally, the month of July saw 2,371 arrivals from cruise passengers.
