The 2024 Fiji Tourism Convention, taking place this week in Nadi, marks a significant milestone in the Coalition Government’s initiative to foster growth, innovation, and sustainability within Fiji’s tourism sector.

With an unprecedented number of visitors and a proactive national tourism strategy, the Convention will showcase the government’s effective leadership and the resilience of the industry in establishing Fiji as a premier global destination.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Villiame Gavoka, emphasized that one of the major outcomes of the Convention is the introduction of the Fiji National Sustainable Tourism Framework 2024-2034. This framework reflects the government’s dedication to positioning Fiji as a leader in sustainable tourism, aimed at ensuring long-term benefits for both the environment and local communities.
