The recently concluded 2025 Asia Pacific Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE) in Fiji has proven to be a major success, attracting over 348 stakeholders from various sectors over its three-day duration. The event has underscored Fiji’s strategy of fostering investment through community-oriented values.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism Viliame Gavoka articulated Fiji’s unique investment philosophy, emphasizing the cultural principle of ‘Veivukei’, which highlights the importance of mutual assistance and community support in driving sustainable growth. He invited global investors to participate in a tourism sector that emphasizes shared opportunities and connections within the community.
Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica reiterated the government’s commitment to establishing productive partnerships aimed at enhancing the Fijian economy. Outgoing Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill acknowledged the event’s timing as particularly favorable for investment, following a record-breaking year in visitor numbers. Investment Fiji CEO Kamal Chetty pointed out the summit’s critical role in connecting government entities with investors and industry operators.
