The 2024 Fiji Tourism Convention taking place this week in Nadi marks a significant milestone in the Coalition Government’s efforts to foster growth, innovation, and sustainability within Fiji’s tourism sector.
With unprecedented visitor numbers and a forward-thinking national tourism blueprint, the Convention will showcase the government’s effective leadership and the industry’s resilience in reinforcing Fiji’s status as a premier global destination.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Villiame Gavoka, emphasized that a major outcome of the Convention is the introduction of the Fiji National Sustainable Tourism Framework 2024-2034. This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to establishing Fiji as a frontrunner in sustainable tourism, ensuring long-term advantages for both the environment and local communities.
