The 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) has officially commenced, announced during a launch event in Nadi. Debra Sadranu, chair of FETA, revealed that the registration and submission period for the awards is open for three months, concluding on October 18.
Sadranu urged potential applicants to adhere to the deadline, emphasizing that no extensions will be granted, and encouraged them to carefully review eligibility requirements for their respective categories. She noted that the evaluation criteria are crafted to encourage participation from across the tourism industry, ensuring that every tourism operator has an opportunity to compete.
Continuing the tradition of honoring excellence, Rosie Holidays was inducted into the FETA Hall of Fame during the event. The company earned this distinguished recognition after winning the C&I Operator of the Year award for three consecutive years, marking their second induction since first entering the Hall of Fame in 2018.
The FETA Hall of Fame, established in 2017, aims to reward operators who have consistently demonstrated excellence within their categories. Sadranu acknowledged the support from sponsors, including ANZ, Tappoos, Fiji Gas, Vodafone, and Fiji Airports, among others.
With the commitment to enhancing the application process, the FETA team continues to revamp the submission portal to make it as user-friendly as possible for applicants. The awards serve as a vital platform for promoting not only the tourism operators’ achievements but also the rich cultural and natural heritage of Fiji.
The timeline for the awards is as follows:
– August 4, 2025: Registration and application entries open.
– October 18, 2025: Applications close.
The push for sustainable and innovative tourism practices highlighted in these awards reflects a positive trend in the industry, further bolstering Fiji’s reputation as a premier tourist destination.
