Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series of matches against Samoa and Tonga in the forthcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He refers to these encounters as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide important lessons for his team.
“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they always are,” Byrne noted. He expressed enthusiasm about hosting Samoa at home before traveling to Tonga and then heading to Japan.
Byrne anticipates a rigorous competition, stating, “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge.” The Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6pm.
