Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series of matches against Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He has labeled these encounters as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide significant insights for the team.

Byrne expressed his anticipation for the matches, stating, “Samoa and Tonga are great competitors, as they always are.” He is particularly excited about hosting Samoa on home soil before traveling to Tonga and then heading to Japan.

Given the reputation of both teams for their physical play and strong performances, Byrne expects an intense competition. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he said.

The Fijians will compete against Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
