Home Affairs Minister Pio Tikoduadua has issued a stern warning to foreign visitors engaged in unlawful activities in Fiji. He emphasized the government’s commitment to prevent the exploitation of individuals, particularly children. This announcement follows the recent deportation of two adult film stars who traveled to Fiji to create content with Australian school-leavers.
Mr. Tikoduadua highlighted concerns over the potential exploitation of Fiji’s immigration system, noting that many foreign visitors do not require visas to enter the country. He assured the public that the government would actively monitor and address any such abuses to safeguard the nation and its youth.
This proactive approach by the government reflects a growing awareness and urgency to protect vulnerable populations and uphold the integrity of the country’s immigration policies. It illustrates a significant step towards ensuring that Fiji remains a safe and welcoming destination for responsible tourists.
By reinforcing their vigilance against illegal activities, Fiji’s authorities aim to foster a positive environment for tourism while ensuring that the rights and safety of all individuals—especially children—are prioritized.
