FIJI Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is anticipating a challenging series of matches as his team prepares to compete against Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He labeled the games as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide important insights for the team.
“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they consistently prove to be,” Byrne commented. “We’re excited about hosting Samoa at home, and then we will travel to Tonga before heading to Japan.”
With an emphasis on both teams’ well-known physical play and strong performances, Byrne is preparing for an intense competition. “Both teams will be highly competitive, and we are eager to embrace that challenge,” he remarked.
The Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
