Fiji’s Taekwondo athlete Venice Traill faced a defeat against world number 3 Rebecca McGowan from Great Britain at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite the setback, Traill expressed her pride in being one of the first two athletes to represent Fiji in Taekwondo at the Olympic Games.

In a heartfelt interview, the 27-year-old athlete announced that this was her first and final Olympic appearance, as she plans to transition into coaching to assist young athletes in achieving their Olympic aspirations. Traill expressed her gratitude to her family and teammates for their unwavering support throughout her Olympic journey.
