Fiji’s Taekwondo athlete Venice Traill faced defeat against world number three Rebecca McGowan from Great Britain at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite this setback, Traill expressed pride in being one of the first two athletes to represent Fiji in Taekwondo at the Olympic Games.
In a heartfelt interview, the 27-year-old announced that this would be her first and last appearance at the Olympics, as she plans to transition into coaching and support other young athletes striving for Olympic success. Traill also conveyed her gratitude to her family and teammates for their support throughout her Olympic journey.
