Lolohea Naitasi, representing Team Fiji, made her Olympic debut at the Grande Palais in Paris, competing against world number five Julyana Alsadeq from Jordan.

Although the 17-year-old Taekwondo athlete ultimately lost to Alsadeq, she was uplifted by the strong support from her team and fellow Oceania competitors. Naitasi described this as her best performance to date and emphasized that she took her coach Master Ra’s advice to enjoy every moment of her inaugural Olympic experience to heart.

As the first Taekwondo athlete from Fiji to compete in the Olympics, Naitasi is already looking ahead to her next challenge—aiming for participation in the LA 2028 Olympics.
