Lolohea Naitasi of Team Fiji had her Olympic debut at the Grande Palais in Paris, competing against the world number five, Julyana Alsadeq from Jordan.

Although she lost to Alsadeq, the 17-year-old Taekwondo competitor was uplifted by the support she received from her team and fellow Oceania teams.

Naitasi noted that this was her best performance so far. She followed the advice of her coach, Master Ra, and focused on enjoying every moment of her first Olympic experience.

Having made history as Fiji’s first Taekwondo athlete to qualify for the Olympics, Naitasi is now looking toward her next goal—participating in the LA 2028 Games.
