Spread the love

Tourists arriving in Fiji, particularly those disembarking from the Crown Princess in Suva, are noticing the remarkable growth and evolution of the country over recent years. The cruise ship made a stop in Suva as it traverses the Pacific, attracting a diverse group of travelers, many of whom are repeat visitors to Fiji.

Among them are Diana Fryer, 71, and her husband Eli, 73, from Melbourne, who have visited Fiji several times. They shared their observations regarding the country’s advancement. Mrs. Fryer noted that Suva particularly stands out as a representation of this growth.

“We simply walked from the ship’s docking area along the inner path, visited the botanical gardens and the museum,” she commented. “We also explored the Grand Pacific Hotel, the Holiday Inn, and wandered around the city quite a bit. It’s been very pleasant. We’ve spent about two and a half hours here.”

The couple has witnessed the transformation of Suva over the years and believes it is slightly ahead in development compared to other cities they have visited. The cruise journey began in Sydney, with notable stops at Mystery Island in Vanuatu, Lautoka, and Suva, before concluding in Taveuni, the last leg before returning to Sydney.

This experience highlights the beauty and charm of Fiji, showcasing its appeal to international visitors and reiterating the positive trajectory of its growth as a popular tourist destination.

In summary, the growing recognition of Fiji’s advancements by tourists not only reflects the country’s ongoing development but also emphasizes its enduring allure as a travel destination. This can foster optimism for future tourism growth, benefiting both the economy and local communities.
