Fiji’s sole music artist in Bollywood, Sumeet Tappoo, has teamed up with acclaimed lyricist Gulzar and renowned composer Pt. Bhavdeep Jaipurwale for his latest album titled “Dil Pareshan Karta Hai.”
The album was officially unveiled during a star-studded event in Mumbai over the weekend. “Dil Pareshan Karta Hai” features seven original tracks penned by Gulzar and composed by Jaipurwale, all brought to life through Tappoo’s emotionally resonant and soulful vocals.
The glamorous launch was attended by a host of notable personalities, including Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Sunil Gavaskar, Anup Jalota, Arun Govil, Nitin Mukesh, and many others from the music and entertainment industries.
Each of the album’s seven songs is presented with haunting beauty, showcasing Tappoo’s deep and powerful voice. Jaipurwale’s arrangements, enriched with live instruments and captivating violin symphonies, provide a distinct auditory experience in the non-film music scene.
Gulzar’s timeless poetry, filled with profound insights, encourages reflection on themes of love, life, and philosophy. He expressed his excitement about collaborating with both Bhavdeep and Sumeet. “Meeting Bhavdeep and Sumeet was inspiring, and I felt compelled to work with them. Their enthusiasm drove me to write, and both Bhavdeep’s compositions and Sumeet’s performances are exceptional,” he stated.
Thrilled about this collaboration, Tappoo described working with Gulzar as a dream come true. He expressed his admiration for Gulzar’s literary legacy and emphasized the honor of contributing his voice to such intricate and profound verses.

Jaipurwale, who has collaborated with Gulzar for 25 years, shared his excitement about their partnership on this album, marking the quarter-century of their collaboration since the album “Vaada” in 1999.
