The Fiji Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) has established a loyalty program in collaboration with Haroons Hardware in Rakiraki, a move that has garnered positive feedback from industry leaders. SCGF CEO Raj Sharma praised Haroons for their generous support, marking them as the 17th supplier to join the initiative. Sharma highlighted Haroons’ position as a leading hardware supplier in the region, which will greatly benefit the local cane farmers.

The loyalty program offers discounts ranging from 5% to 10%, providing an incentive for farmers to engage with the participating suppliers. Notably, the application for this loyalty program is free until June 30, enabling more farmers to take advantage of the opportunity without any initial costs. Mohammed Haroon echoed the positive messages surrounding the program, expressing pride in supporting the sugarcane community and enhancing farmers’ economic viability through special pricing.

This development aligns seamlessly with SCGF’s broader strategy, which has previously focused on partnerships with various organizations to improve the welfare of sugarcane farmers. Similar initiatives have included collaborations with other businesses that provide essential goods and services, such as healthcare providers, thereby ensuring that farmers can access necessary resources at reduced rates.

The loyalty program signifies a growing trend of providing tangible support to Fiji’s essential agricultural community, reinforcing the government’s commitment to improving livelihoods in the sugarcane sector. Such programs not only empower farmers financially but also promote community resilience and sustainability in agricultural practices.

Overall, the SCGF and Haroons partnership presents a hopeful outlook for the sugarcane farming community, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fostering economic growth and stability in the industry.
