Women’s Minister Sashi Kiran made a heartfelt plea on Thursday, urging Fijians to extend kindness and support to the most vulnerable members of society, including the poor, individuals with disabilities, and senior citizens. “We are particularly grateful to all who contribute to supporting those in need,” Kiran remarked. Some families have been assisted in returning to their homes in outer islands as well as areas like Naitasiri and Tailevu.

She highlighted that while some children have the reassurance of returning home, the availability of food and other necessities leads them to remain on the streets longer than intended.
