Fiji rugby fans received a boost as Viliame Mata, playing No.8, made an impressive debut for Bristol Bears by scoring a try in their resounding 48-24 victory over Harlequins in the Gallagher Premiership. Alongside him, center Kalaveti Ravouvou also contributed to the Bears’ try tally, showcasing the strength of Fiji’s rugby talent on the international stage.

In other matches, Levani Botia returned to the pitch for La Rochelle after recovering from injury, although the team faced a tough 23-14 defeat against Vannes. Former Wallabies winger Suliasi Vunivalu also marked his Top 14 debut in the same match, while Salesi Rayasi represented Vannes.

Peceli Yato made his mark for Clermont, playing lock in a dominant 54-10 win against Castres, with Vilimoni Botitu converting Castres’ only try. In another match, utility back Seta Tuicuvu was instrumental for Toulon, contributing to their victory over Alivereti Duguivalu’s USA Perpignan.
