Jone Koroiduadua, a prop for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians, has reached a noteworthy milestone in his rugby career by signing with Major League Rugby team, the New England Free Jacks, for the 2025 season.
At just 25 years of age and from Sigatoka on Fiji’s Coral Coast, Koroiduadua is recognized as one of Fiji’s most promising young talents. The Free Jacks highlight his impact, noting that his strength and physicality will enhance their front row, following his over 20 appearances for Fijian Drua in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Koroiduadua has also gained international experience, earning two caps for the Flying Fijians, including participation in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Locally, he plays for Nadroga, Fiji’s most successful provincial team in rugby history.
Additionally, Koroiduadua has spent two years in France with Top 14 club ASM Clermont Auvergne and had a brief involvement with the national rugby league team, Vodafone Fiji Bati.
The Free Jacks describe him as a formidable scrummager capable of playing on either side of the scrum, playing a key role in the Fijian Drua’s scrum in the previous Super Rugby Pacific season. His reputation as a powerful athlete, effective in physical confrontations both with and without the ball, is seen as a vital addition to the Free Jacks’ forward pack.
