The Vodafone Fijiana XVs experienced a significant loss, falling 59-15 to Scotland in their opening test match this morning at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh. Scotland demonstrated a strong performance, scoring nine tries compared to Fiji’s three unconverted tries, and took control of the game early on.
By halftime, Scotland had established a solid 28-10 lead, thanks to four converted tries, while Fiji managed to score two unconverted tries. In the second half, Fiji could only muster one more unconverted try as Scotland added 31 additional points, clinching a decisive victory.
Looking ahead, the Fijiana will prepare for their next test match against the Netherlands next week, followed by their involvement in the WXV3 tournament. They are set to face the Netherlands at 5:30 am on Friday.
