The Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), Elizabeth Dibble, visited the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) today as part of her official trip to Fiji. She was welcomed with full military honors, including a 50-man Guard of Honour, before meeting with RFMF Commander Major General Jone Kalouniwai at the RFMF Strategic Headquarters.
The visit included a traditional Fijian welcome ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks Officers’ Mess in Nabua. In her address, Ms. Dibble praised Fiji’s unwavering commitment to international peacekeeping efforts under the MFO since its inception in 1982.
