Samisoni Leleca from Sila Central High School caused a significant upset during the Triple N Zone Athletics competition by clinching first place in the senior boys’ 200-meter finals. The year-13 student accomplished this remarkable feat with a finishing time of 22.97 seconds, surpassing the previous blue ribbon winner, Rupeni Caucaunibuca Jnr.

This triumph marks Leleca’s second gold medal of the competition, having secured his first in the senior boys’ 400-meter final the day before. His standout performances are a testament to the growing athletic talent within Fiji’s youth.
