Peter Charles Ravai, a former defender for Fiji’s U20 team, has advanced his football career by signing with Gulf United in the United Arab Emirates. At just 21 years old, Ravai is quickly becoming a key player for the club, having already captained them in several matches since joining last month.

Recently, Ravai had the opportunity to train in Dubai with renowned German and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. “Signing a professional contract with Gulf United has helped me grow significantly as a footballer,” he shared. “Training with Ilkay has been the highlight of my career. Having played for Fiji at the FIFA U20 World Cup, this experience of learning from one of the best midfielders in the world is invaluable and something I will treasure.”

Ravai expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his club, highlighting the welcoming environment among his teammates and officials. He hopes to continue developing his skills and contribute to his team’s success.

Despite being currently focused on club commitments, Ravai is eager to represent Fiji in future matches. He is optimistic about the national team’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup and wishes them the best in their upcoming qualifiers, citing confidence in the squad, which includes some of the best talents in the country. “I certainly hope to return to the national colors soon,” Ravai concluded.
