Fiji Water Flying Fijians prop Jone Koroiduadua has marked a major achievement in his rugby career by signing with Major League Rugby club, the New England Free Jacks in the United States, for their 2025 season. At only 25 years of age and originating from Sigatoka on Fiji’s Coral Coast, Koroiduadua is regarded as one of the country’s most promising young talents.
The Free Jacks have expressed confidence that Koroiduadua will enhance their front row with his notable power and physicality. He has played over 20 matches for the Fijian Drua across three seasons in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. Additionally, Koroiduadua has gained international experience, earning two caps for the Flying Fijians and participating in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Locally, he plays for Nadroga, which is recognized as the most successful provincial team in Fiji’s rugby history. Koroiduadua has also spent two years in France with Top 14 club ASM Clermont Auvergne and even had a brief period with the national rugby league team, the Vodafone Fiji Bati.
The club highlighted Koroiduadua’s skill as a powerful scrummager on both sides of the scrum, having played a key role in improving the Fijian Drua’s scrum performance during the last Super Rugby Pacific season. He is known for being a formidable athlete, effective in collisions whether with or without the ball, making him a valuable addition to the Free Jacks’ forward pack.
